Behind the Scenes
80 Air Guitar Kits.jpg (142847 bytes) The Fro and Mrs. Fro recently manufactured 1000 cards to go in Diamond PREVIEWS catalog to help reach out to comic book Retailers.  Here are some cool photos of our slave labor!  That's right, each and every Air Guitar Kit is hand placed  with a signature "The Fro" yellow guitar pick. No artificial ingredients - just lots of love.  Below are the steps, described in classic drama queen detail.
Postcards Before Air Guitar Kits.jpg (127298 bytes) Step one: 1000 high compression steel-woven postcards were shipped in on Naval air craft carriers and parachuted from F14 jet fighters to the facility's loading dock (aka the "front porch").   Highly-technical 5 digit tactile postcard clamping mechanisms are used to extract the postcards and place them on the tremendously expensive conveyor table at supersonic speeds..
Closeup Air Guitar Kits.jpg (154531 bytes) Step two: digital signal processing "pick" and place machines operate at an uncanny one pick per 4 seconds, to place a guitar pick on each of the post cards.
Sticking Picks to Air Guitar Kits.JPG (143820 bytes) Step three: 100% UV protective, 10,000lbs adhesive backed clear bands (aka packing tape) are used to seal the golden picks to their corresponding postcard.  Only at THIS POINT do we actually have a real Air Guitar Kit.  Up until this, we simply have ... air.  All employees were compensated for their barren finger tips (from sealing the tape edges) with a McDonald's Fruit Smoothy or Milkshake.  One has to keep up moral somehow!
